Art Exhibition at The Fulton Center

Art Exhibition at The Fulton Center

The art exhibition Resiliency is on view at The Fulton Center. I am honored to be part of the show and to share my art and story. My artwork often captures the feelings of chaos and harmony, a sense of belonging and isolation when living in a city. Just few days before the exhibition open, we experienced flooding in NYC. I am still in shock because my studio is affected by the sudden flooding.  I feel the theme of the exhibition, Resiliency, is speaking to me right now!! So, I will put my painting on hold for few weeks when dealing with the aftermath. However, I won’t be defeated. I Will resume my work very soon. In the meantime, come see my cardboard paintings at The Fulton Center!

Art on the Ave Exhibition at The Fulton Center.
Dates: Sept 7 – Nov 28, 2021.
Location: The Fulton Center, 200 Broadway, New York, NY 10038.

Urban Harmony

This year I was selected to do a public art with 49 artists for Sing For Hope in New York City. Each of us paints a piano, and the pianos will be on display in public. My design for the piano highlights the sensibility of New York’s cityscape. The design paints the abstractions of urban space, woven with color and light, as inspired by common architectural elements in the city like arches, windows, and fire escapes. These elements invite viewers to imagine a better future by engaging our sensibility and emotion in the open.

The official unveiling of the 2019 Pianos will take place on Monday, June 3rd, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Fosun Plaza at 28 Liberty in New York City. There will be pop-up performances. Visitors are welcome to play the pianos.

My piano “Urban Harmony” will be on display in public for a month:
Location: 28 Liberty Street, Manhattan.
Date: June 4 – 23. Hours: Mon – Sun 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Fully accessible.
Come play a few songs!!

Concrete & Adrift: On the Poverty Line Exhibition

I am sharing news about the ongoing exhibition “Concrete & Adrift: On the Poverty Line” at the Alexandria Museum of Art.  The exhibition calls our attention to the issue of homelessness. I am honored to be part of the exhibition. Through the cardboard artworkHome, Not Home #3″, I express the hope and strength of those who live on the street. From creating the installation of Urban Cage to mixed media Home, Not Home series, I create work that aims to capture our vulnerability in identity, living in oppressive urban spaces.
Location: Alexandria Museum of Art, 933 2nd St, Alexandria, LA.
Date: March 1 – June 22, 2019.

The digital catalogue of Concrete & Adrift: On the Poverty Line is available online:
